Winner Creek hand tram....

We decided to take advantage of the fabulous weather yesterday and Allen, Perpetua, baby Alex and I went back to Girdwood and did the hike again! This time we rode the tram multiple times. It was a ton of fun!

 

I'm so glad we had the opportunity to do this! You can see baby Alex strapped to me in the picture. The tram wheels you out across a river and over the gorge to the other side. We didn't hike the other side as this is an almost 6 mile hike as is and we went just for fun that day. On Saturday we were under time constraints and it was a good thing we weren't yesterday, because we spent about 30 minutes just riding the tram.

I took Alex with me so he could nurse easily because we didn't know how long we would be gone - all told we were gone about 5 hours including drive time there and back. The drive was beautiful too.
